Exploring Oxford
Being massive fans of the television series Morse and Lewis, based on the novels by Colin Dexter, my husband Ross and I set off recently to explore the city of Oxford where the dramas are set.
We visited several of the ancient colleges and admired the stunning architecture and peaceful surroundings, soaking up the atmosphere of present-day student life.
We searched out numerous locations where filming had taken place and enjoyed the odd glass of wine in the pubs where our fictional heroes had their pints whilst discussing the progress of their investigations.
And I made a fantastic discovery - all three of my own novels are housed in the prestigious Bodleian Library, a building of distinction which is featured in most episodes of the programme.
I will enjoy my box set even more now, knowing that my 'Voice from the Past' trilogy is behind those magnificent doors!
